Quality, American-Made Goods

Hank began with a goal of supporting American manufacturing and the creation of high quality, lasting goods.

We designed products from scratch, collaborated with existing labels for Hank exclusives, and sold goods from some of our favorite companies.

Our products were received enthusiastically, receiving press from sites such as Cool Hunting, Fader, Valet Magazine, UrbanDaddy, many American-made focused publications, and print coverage in Hong Kong magazines.

While we were in operation, we received orders from customers and retail boutiques across the US and more than 20 countries worldwide, and wholesaled items internationally.

Fully Responsive Online-Store

I was responsible for the design and code of our online shop.

We built Hank on Shopify using a completely custom theme, becoming one of the early e-commerce sites to feature a fully responsive design.

Tapping into the Shopify API, I enhanced the experience of using Hank with features like:

• User friendly size and quantity selectors.

• AJAX "add to cart" submission combined with a mini-cart dropdown, accessible from the site header.

• Per-product mailing list sign-ups for restock notifications on sold-out items.
